what you should do is restore the program nd your computer will start normaly
upgrade it
I am wondering if 2 or more of your security software programs is conflicting with each other. I had that happen once--it was hell trying to get those removed.

No antivirus or antispyware protection is perfect, not even the expensive ones but a good mixture will help you clean your system and hopefully keep it clean. It is advisable not to run two or more anti virus applications.

For starters, download, update and run a full scan using the following product:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

SuperAntiSpyware is exceptional and will remove the majority of difficult Trojans and Worms, not just the easy ones.

If possible it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence. However, if you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to help clean your system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot normally, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.

How can I get more system memory on my computer?

I'm trying to install this antivirus software on my computer and it keeps telling me that I don't have enough system memory- do I have to delete something off my computer to increase the system memory? I need like 126 MG. Thanks!

How can I get more system memory on my computer?kawasaki

You might have some spyware that uses some. So go to http://www.dowload.com and get AD-AWARE and get SpyBot Search %26 Destroy. Clean up your spyware.

But look up your computer at http://www.coastmemory.com and look up your brand and model computer. This will tell you what you have and what you can get. Some computers require that you get identical pairs. So you might just order two 512MB modules, and discard your old memory to get 1GB.

Good luck

Dell makes the worst computers, and their customer service is the worst too. If you're looking for a high quality computer, you should consider getting a Toshiba laptop. I have a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092, and I love it.
Excellent system, up to date and at a decent price.

Ask Symantec, they'll have to support you with this problem.

    Question fo Computer experts.......?

My question is what would cause the following to happen? My screen freezes whether I am in the middle of something or not, then a blue screen comes up for about 3 seconds and then my pc restarts. I only get glimpses of the screen when it does it, but I have gathered that it says something along the lines of, there is an error......dumping physical memory.....Anyone know why? I have antivirus software installed (now anyway) and I just installed a registry cleaner.....is there another possible problem? Thanks

    Question fo Computer experts.......?malware

If it says dumping physical memory ... the blue screen of death.

    Here are the options.

    1. What you have to look into is your RAM (memory). Is it the original or you recently installed additional? If yes then make sure the ram is the same type. If no, continue below.

    2. Update your graphic card drivers from the support website, also update your chipset drivers (motherboard) including the latest directX from microsoft site, have service pack two installed. It would also help to update your sound card drivers. Some users have experienced computer freezes when volume on the sound card is set on maximum when playing visual sound, setting it on medium immediately resolves the problem though.

    3. Does you hard drive make funny noises. It could also be a dying hard drive that is causing this problem. Use a hard drive inspection tool to analyse the condition of your hard drive.
