Why are Macbooks so expensive?

a $1300 difference?

These laptops have the exact same specs (the windows one has more video ram however), same CPU, same HD, ram, etc.

Both got 5 ''eggs'' from their owners, so they are both reliable.

Antivirus software is free (avg free), firewalls are free (zonealarm), so maintenance is free.

And, the warranty for labor is longer on the Windows Laptop! (one year), and parts are the same as the macbook.

They have the same specs, but the price difference is enormous! So where does that $1300 go?

I think it's because their not as popular as PC's. When you can't mass produce something to a demanding market you have to raise the cost of the product. PC's are generally accepted everywhere and so they are in a higher demand which means people can make them cheap. Perhaps not being able to right click raised their prices...

Well, the graphics are better. I am on my Macbook right now. I dropped it a million times, and it still hasn't messed up. I think my laptop was worth the money, (if you are a student, you can get discounts.)
