I can't choose my antivirus software to scan received files, in messenger yahoo!.....there's no file transfert category in the preferences........

I have been unable to find a suitable answer to your question. I would advise you to right click the downloaded files and selct the option to scan with your Anti Virus program. Honestly, it should scan automatically as it's downloading anyway.
